His life

Kathy long is widely considered to be one of the greatest female fighters of all time. Born on April 21, 1964, in Saint Louis Missouri, Kathy's family moved to California when she was 6 months old.

Long started training in Aikido in 1979 . Earning the rank of Shodan.
Kathy then branched out, opening her own school and continued her training in Kung Fu San Soo in 1981, eventually earning the rank of 8th degree Master … Always continuing to broaden her knowledge and teaching skills, she has become proficient in BJJ, Catch wrestling, Wing Chun, JKD, and Kali from a variety of instructors.

Kathy Long was also honored with the opportunity to teach at the highly prestigious Inosanto Academy for 9 years. Working alongside Dan Inosanto at his facility in Marina Del Ray.

Kathy's first kickboxing bout in 1987 happened after accepting a challenge with only 10 days of training to learn how.

Kathy was instantly hooked on the sport and began learning everything possible concerning Kickboxing..

Long began her professional kickboxing career in 1989 and quickly established herself as one of the top fighters in the sport.

Kathy, believing that developing, Strength Conditioning, speed and power, training and sparring exclusively with men would take her to the top.

And she wasn’t wrong.!
Kathy, Earned 5 World titles throughout her career in the following organizations; WKA, ISKA, and WMAC and KICK.

Long was known for her technical proficiency, speed, and power, as well as her aggressive fighting style. In addition to kickboxing, Long also competed professionally in MMA, Boxing, and Muay Thai compiling a combined record of 42 wins, with only 2 loses.

In 1991 Long was offered an amazing opportunity to double Michelle Pfeiffer as “Cat Woman” in the film Batman Returns, and adding to her career and skillset, Kathy continued competing in Kickboxing, adding to her amazing record Competing on ESPN and Showtime.

Kathy’s has choreographed fight scenes in the amazing films such as “Natural Born Killers”, “Death Becomes Her”, “Romey and Michelle’s High School Reunion” to name a few and eventually starred in and choreographed fight scenes in productions such as “Knights” “The Stranger” , and “Under The Gun”, “Walker Texas Ranger” to name a few.

Kathy retired from fighting in 2016 at the age of 52 but has remained involved in the martial arts community as a trainer and coach. Kathy is also working closely with WAKO, to become a gold status level coach for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles California.

Long has become a licensed and certified Hypnotherapist to help athletes and everyone who needs help.

Kathy enjoys traveling and teaching seminars all over the world. Long has received numerous awards and honors, and has been on the cover of numerous Martial Arts Magazines including “Black Belt Magazine”, “Inside Kung Fu”, “Inside Karate” Strength and Conditioning” magazine as well as variety of European Magazines.

Long has also been featured in Sports Illustrated magazine and has been inducted into and marked by Black Belt Magazine as “One of the most influential Female Martial Artists on the Planet.”

Continuing with the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame, The prestigious “Martial Maze” and Recently presented with The lifetime achievement award by The Pacific Association of Women Martial Artists, Kathy Long's contributions to the world of martial arts has been significant, and she is widely respected and admired by her peers and fans alike.

Her technical proficiency, fighting spirit, and dedication to the sport have inspired countless people to pursue martial arts and to achieve their own amazing goals.

Kathy enjoys teaches at her School, traveling for seminars, helping people with Hypnotherapy and has just recently started her own Podcast called taking you “Beyond Limits” with Kathy Long.

Focusing on talking with people who have faced heavy adversity in their lives and how they have overcome that adversity..
